How do cells become circuits?
I am a developmental neurobiologist with a background in computer science. I study how neural circuits form, and I am moving toward computational biology and AI for biology.
My work asks how the nervous system builds the circuits that carry sensory information.
At McGill, my doctoral research examines the development of neural circuits that relay precise sensory information from the body. This includes work on teneurin-3 and latrophilin-2, and their roles in how sensory connections are arranged in the spinal cord.
Before this, I worked with cerebral organoids to study brain development and glioblastoma. I also used RNA sequencing data to build a machine-learning model for immunotherapy response.
